Fitting a shim (many tries) to be glued in the soundboard.
The excess is then trimmed flush to the soundboard.
A long level to confirm that old soundboard has been succesfully recrowned.
Plenty of crown.

Since the reason for all this fuss is stable tuning. Then this picture shows why one must dry this blank Canadian pinblock.
