Steinway « K » Vertegrand Upright New-York 1922 signed by Alfred Cortot
Steinway "Cortot"
Alfred Cortot in Montreal 1929.
Alfred Cortot being a Steinway artist, signed this piano while touring in Montreal.
The piano plate upside down.
The original finish is removed and the soundboard and bridges are repaired.
As seen bottom right, the soundboard has been chopped off by Steinway, unlike most other brands since there is no need for it like in all grands.
It is possible, with experience to repair the front of this key bed so that it won't show, repairs must become invisible.
